Applying to LWGMS
Our admissions staff wants to learn about you as an individual, and about your family, too. Throughout the admissions process we’ll ask questions that allow us to get to know what you dream about, what goals you’ve set, and who you want to become. We’ll also ask your teachers and other people who know you well for evaluations.
First Things First
☛ Create your Ravenna account. Ravenna is our online, paperless admission system that helps families manage their child's applications to private and independent schools. It is our strong preference to receive applications and accompanying forms through Ravenna. Please contact us if applying online is not possible for you.
☛ Attend an Open House – they are a great way for students and parents to get a feeling for the school and who we are.
And finally, the requirements...
To apply to LWGMS, please submit the following items:
OCTOBER, 2016- MARCH, 2017
Schedule a required Monday Visit and Family Information Session as soon as possible to get an even closer look – spots fill up quickly! Each applying student is required to attend a Monday Visit and applicant families are required to attend an information session on this day.
October 1, 2016 – January 12, 2017
Submit online application to LWGMS no later than January 12, 2017 through Ravenna. Students can apply to multiple schools from using Ravenna. (Essay and test scores must be mailed separately.)
Application Fee of $75
A non-refundable fee of $75 must accompany the application, paid directly through Ravenna. If the application fee is a possible barrier to application, please call the Admissions Office at 206.709.3800 or email Molly Klema at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The following items should be received no later than January 12, 2017 to complete your application.
Parent/Guardian and Student Questionnaires
Two teacher evaluations – one from the 5th grade core teacher and from a teacher who has taught the applicant within the last two years – are required. It is our strong preference to receive teacher evaluations through Ravenna.
Confidential School Report/Transcript Request
Fill out the transcript request form completely, sign it, and bring to the student’s current school office. The school will send the applicant’s transcript to LWGMS or upload it via Ravenna.
