After-School Enrichment Programs

Lake Washington Girls Middle School believes that the arts, athletics, service, and other enrichment opportunities are essential to a well-rounded school experience. Students participate in school-day enrichment classes, and also have the opportunity to participate in after-school enrichment classes, and receive academic support using the ARC (After-School Resource Center) Program. Enrichment programs offer service learning, social and emotional learning, and leadership opportunities for students. During the school year our After School Enrichment (ASE) program will be offered from 3:15 PM to 5pm on various days between Monday-Thursday.

Academic Resource Center (ARC)

The Academic Resource Center is an intentional space for students to get extra support with homework and classwork organization. The ARC Coordinator spends the afternoon with students supporting their academic needs. The first hour of ARC includes independent work time, as well as time to meet with teachers. During the last 30 minutes, students can work on group projects or activities.

The ARC Program runs from 3:15-5 PM, Monday Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There is no ARC on Fridays.

Cost: $25 per day

After-School Enrichment Classes (ASE)

After-school enrichment classes allow students to continue to explore areas of interest like art, theater, STEAM, and more. Enrichment classes change each trimester based on the interests of our students and the expertise of our faculty members. This means that students have a wide array of classes to choose from, and explore multiple interests. It also means that students can participate in an athletic program one trimester, and then take an enrichment class of their interest during other trimester. We believe that offering both enrichment classes and and athletic programs, allows student choice and supports well-rounded learning. Questions about our ASE Program? Email [email protected]
